ATTENTION SAN RAFAEL RESIDENTS,
Our local schools
need our help. If you live in San
Rafael you should be receiving a local ballot in the mail soon. This is a mail-in ballot which must be
returned by May 8, 2013. This ballot
contains two measures that we desperately need to pass in order to protect our
local schools- measures A and B.
The state has drastically cut school funding over the years
(over $17,000,000 since 2009). Because
of this, our state has relied on local funding.
Without this local funding our schools would be forced to perform drastic
spending cuts. This local funding is
about to expire and we need your help to keep it going.
Please help our children receive the best education they can
by voting yes on measures A and B. We need this money to fund critical programs
for our local schools. A yes vote renews
the expiring parcel taxes. Remember, this
is not an increase in tax… it’s just renewing the taxes that were already
in place.
